Information on virtual trainings

You can also participate in many of our training courses virtually from any workstation.

In the following, we will show you which technical requirements must be met for this.

Classroom Trainings

The transmission of audio and the theoretical part of the training (slides) are carried out using Microsoft Teams. No license or installation of Microsoft Teams is required on your part, you can also participate purely browser-based.

For the practical exercises, each participant in our classroom trainings at our Ontrex Academy receives his or her own Windows PC configured specifically for the training in question.
Virtual participants access the device configured for them via RDP.

Technical requirements

a) RDP client on the device from which you want to participate in the training course

In principle, any RDP client of your choice should work for this purpose. We have extensively tested the following products:

  • mstsc.exe (Remote Desktop Connection integrated in Windows)
  • RemoteDesktop from the MS Store
  • RemoteDestop Android
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop for iOS

b) SSL connection

The RDP connection must support gateway functionality via port 443.

Access data

You will receive the dial-in data required for access by e-mail shortly before the training.

Meet the Experts Sessions

Our Meet the Experts sessions are conducted using Microsoft Teams.

No license or installation of Microsoft Teams is required on your part, the session can also be attended purely browser-based.

The access data will be sent to you automatically by e-mail with your registration.

Please note: The Meet the Experts sessions will be recorded to improve quality and to post-process any unanswered questions. By registering, you confirm your agreement to record the session.
